Spetsnaz Style Survival Machete / Chopper

#404532
This modern update takes the original Soviet special ops design and improves the functionality. The original had a hollow, squarish plastic handle to store matches and the like, but made the knife incredibly tip heavy and hard to use. This version has a full profile tang and contoured hardwood scales for superior comfort and balance. And the original blade was made from super-hard steel so the knife could be used as a pry-bar but was next to impossible to sharpen. Modern carbon steel makes this updated blade easier to give a fresh edge.

Review of: Hibben Extreme Survival Bowie Knife

The knife is great, but Atlanta Cutlery has some awesome customer service. Don't be apprehensive to buy from this company. You will receive your items fast and well packed... and if you have an issue, it will be handled with care. Thank you ACC ;)

This knife is simply a beast! It is not a wall hanger. Even though it derives from the Rambo concept, it is not just a display knife. It is a real usable knife.
The blade is almost a quarter inch thick at about 5.9mm.
Its every bit as menacing looking in person as it looks in the stock pics.
Good fit and finish.
SHARP out of box.
I bought my first one about 3 years ago and beat the heck out of it at camp once a month sense then and its still in perfect working condition. No breaks, no bends, and still sharp ;)
This one I bought for my collection and possibly a back up. Its well worth this price.

Just some advice from experience --->
Trust me when I say to buy it here on ACC. I have bought it on Amazon and ebay an I always got Factory 2nd's or ever 3rd's with lots of imperfections.

Review of: Compact Emergency Survival Kit

Nice compact design, but nevertheless packed with useful items. Small and handy, the kit fits in any glove compartment or backpack. An excellent and useful for a motorist or a hiker.

Review of: Special Forces Shovel

Here's another quality product that small enough to store inside a compact or subcompact car, or in the trunk of any size car. Useful for getting yourself out small muddy ruts or cleaning a thick like snow of
off your windshield. The only drawback is that its sharp edges do leave scratches behind. The edges are sharp and formidable. No wonder why Spetsnaz uses it as a weapon and it has yet to be restricted by law in any state. I also think that it would make an excellent gardening tool for planting small trees and shrubs.

Review of: 5-in-1 Survival Tool

Five survival tools (blade, compass, whistle, glass breaker, and fire starter) in a very compact package like a pen that can be carried in a shirt pocket. Very nice.

Review of: Frontier Axe

I had to sharpen this after it came.  Classic design from about 800AD until just before WWI.  Everybody used this design because it works.  Added to my Longhunter kit.  Also, there was no wedge at the head.  I added one.
