American Frontier Weapons, Clothing & Accessories

The American Frontier is the Westward expansion that started with the English colonies in the early 17th century and ended with the last mainland territories as states in 1912. "Frontier" covers multiple frontiers but the folklore is focused primarily on the 19th century west of the Mississippi River. It covers a lot for us as well, like American frontier weapons, American frontier clothing, and rugged frontier accessories. Popular attention in the media and entertainment industry is focused on the Western US in the second half of the 19th century, a period sometimes called the Old West, or the Wild West. Not quite as wild at times as portrayed- farming, mining, lumber, and other industries were prominent, but along with everyone else we are guilty of frequently exaggerating the romance and violence of the period.

We see an interesting mix of the Alamo, Zorro, the Lone Ranger, Hopalong Cassidy, Gary Cooper, Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, Texas Rangers, Jim Bowie, cattle rustlers, gamblers, gun fighters, and outlaws.  The Hatfields and McCoys, Billy the Kidd, the James Gang all seem romantic now. The frontier transformed Americans and inspired our offerings. We carry tomahawks, Bowie knives, swords, frontier clothing, holsters, non-firing gun replicas, law enforcement badges, wanted posters, prison gear, accessories, spittoons, bar ware, frontier décor, statues, powder horns and so much more. The westward frontier defined America and gave us our rugged individualism and self-determined drive we have today.

As the American frontier faded into history, the myths of the West in fiction and film have taken firm hold in the imagination of Americans and foreigners alike. Whether you side with the romance of it all or the wild ride often portrayed in books, TV, and film, we’ve got something interesting that captures the spirit of the American Frontier.  Made from authentic materials, often replicated from originals of the era we have brought the frontier back.

Review of: Forged Iron Candle Holder

Nothing to break on this item, no worries about dead batteries, and you can tell when you need to replace the light source!  It's really well built and sits flat, no wobble.  The candle spike is long so no danger of the candle falling off.  The feet are spiked so be careful setting it on fine furniture or glass.

Very NICE, brand-new railroad signal!  All glass (fixed clear, rotatable colored lenses) is clean, clear and undamaged. Metal lantern body is clean and undamaged, the painted finish unblemished.  Definitely a bargain for less than $80!
