Spears and Polearms

Before there were guns, there were spears and polearms. These close combat weapons were typically fitted to the end of a long wooden shaft, extending the fighters range. Often, the warrior would carry several spears so that they would have a few to throw and at least one to hold in hand combat.

These appear to be "bodkin"-style points. Very common back in the day, especially larger ones. They were the "armor-piercing" Norman-killer points used by Robin Hood and other Saxon rebels to defeat the armor-clad Norman knights. Very effective, wish AC/MR would stock some larger ones for my collection!

Review of: Zulu Iklwa Spear

Very nice looking spear for starter.  I gave it an ageing process so it would look closer to a antique spear that Zulu tribesman may have created.

This spear far exceeded my expectations. I've wanted a Zulu spear for my collection, but what I had seen available from other companies were not up to what I wanted. This spear did...... MBL, Florida

Review of: Zulu Iklwa Spear

I have had one since they were first offered, and it's an excellent hunting spear. With the way things are going in this world, having a second one seemed like a good move. It's an excellent and formidable close quarter weapon.
