Daggers & Stilettos

Daggers are most likely the predecessor to the sword. Historically they were usually double edged and used to deliver quick, lethal strokes. Their small size made it perfect for those more nefarious types. Stilettos, from the Latin stilus for stake, were used more for stabbing rather than cutting. The long narrow blade tapers to a point. AtlantaCutlery.com carries a wide assortment of quality daggers.

Review of: Wartech Dagger

This little guy absolutely saved my life. Walking ally behind my Tucson home, latched onto by neighbors viscous 200lb pit bull. Left arm being crushed in dogs jaws I plunged wartech 81/4" dagger down into this monsters skull this startled it enough for me to get up and run. Long story short, I paid for 6 stitches in the dogs head, dog u owner paid $15,000 to repair my arm, but I truly believe I would have been killed that day had I not had this little tool in my right boot!

Review of: Damascus Commando Dagger w/ Wood Handle

No loose parts, good acid etched pattern. The inside of the scabbard absorbs oil so new buyers should oil frequently.

Review of: Stag Horn & Damascus Hunting Dagger

Small but large enough to get the job done.  Beautifully made.  Not made for hard core down and dirty survival combat.  But , will damn sure answer the call if needed.  Brass and antler handle makes it "plum purty."
