OVERVIEW
The Zulu "Iklwa" is the famous short shafted, large bladed spear that carved out one of the greatest early African nations. Used with a cowhide shield this spear, sized for a deadly underhand stabbing fighting style, is said to be named for the sound it made as it entered the enemy. High carbon tempered steel. Brass wire reinforced socket, wood shaft. The Zulu “Iklwa” is a must for history buffs or collectors of military weapons. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.

Very nice looking spear for starter. I gave it an ageing process so it would look closer to a antique spear that Zulu tribesman may have created.

They appear to be constructed with a high degree of craftsmanship. My two issues are:
1. It was not as sharp as I had come to expect from Atlanta Cutlery, however in their defense, I didn't order sharpening.
2. I have not tested the working use as a bona fide tool, but as I stated before it is high quality, I trust I'll not be disappointed.
Besides they look very formidable up on the wall. Great work.

I have had one since they were first offered, and it's an excellent hunting spear. With the way things are going in this world, having a second one seemed like a good move. It's an excellent and formidable close quarter weapon.
