Western boot knife.
This knife is great. It has a fairly sharp edge right out of the box and you can make it shaving sharp with a little effort. It is well made and the sheath is pretty simple with no clip or belt loop and it is well made also.

Solid Boot Knife
An excellent knife. Looks great and feels great. The engraving turned out well and the blade holds a razor sharp edge. Recommended!

A Really Nice Knife For a Good Price.
At the time I purchased this knife it was being sold for $39.95. I paid the additional $15 for sharpening, which gives you a basic sharp edge to work with - - a crock stick will make it hair-popping sharp with just a few strokes. The wood for the handle isn't identified, but looks like cocobolo. The carbon steel blade is close to a mirror finish, and is coated with a protective finish that prevents rusting, but which can be removed with a bit of elbow grease.

The sheath is wood with black leather glued onto it and stitched, with nickel silver throat and tip. There is no belt loop or frog for attaching it to belt or boot.

The knife looks like the one that Ian McShane carried as Al Swearengen in the HBO series *Deadwood.* Al carried such a knife in his boot. It would make a good knife for a Western reenactor.

A nice little boot knife, easily concealable, great for carrying anywhere in your outfit. Like a lot of Windlass knives, it's not the epitome of perfection, but it's decent quality and you can't beat the price.

A good knife worth the money. the balance is perfect but the sharpening job is teribble. i can actualy run my thumb up and duwn the blade with out being cut.save your money and buy a cutlery shapener. i beleive A.C.C. sells one. the sheath is very good its made out of very stiff leather with nickel silver tip and collar. the ingraving is very nice well done lear eazy to read regardless of the knifes angle. it comes with a sticker on it saying windlass steelcraft. its hard to get off. just use some zippo lighter fluid and it will wipe right off.

Very well made. So far the knife seems very durable. The sheath is holding in the knife well enough. I paid for extra sharpening and the knife is holding the edge quite well.
