Fantastic!
I got this to replace the poor excuse for wood handle that came with my CRKT Chogan T-Hawk. It fits the head perfectly- with included wedge. I wish I could upload pictures - it is fantastic. really- it took a t-hawk which has a good head on it but rendered useless by a particle board wooden dowel - into a real- fictional tool. The handle itself is legitimate solid hickory, unfinished if you were to stain or wax coat it. If I ever get a 2nd hawk- I will certainly get another one of these.

Nice piece of woood, but it is noticably warped, which is not a problem for this application- I am putting it on a smaller size ax so the shaft needs to be considerably smaller in diameter, so I can fix it.

The first of two handles broke on the third throw. Granted it didn't hit properly but I expected something a bit stronger. I put the second one I bought in and after a few throws that one appears to be splitting along the line where you put in the small triangular metal retaining chip. What kind of wood is this? Doesn't look like any kind of serious hard wood.

Not real pleased.
