This kit has the essentials for a Confederate Soldier. First, you get an Confederate Cavalry Officer's Sword, made by Windlass Steelcrafts. The hand-forged, 1095 high carbon steel blade is etched with the initials "C.S.A.". It has a wire wrapped leather handle and includes a steel scabbard. You also get an adjustable leather Confederate sword belt with brass hardware and brass buckle with the initials "CS". Very nice for the price.

Okay, but not impressive.
Pros: not too light or heavy. Scabbard looks good and seems durable. The loops that hook to the frog are secure and don't seem too shabby.
Cons:
1 My biggest gripe is with the frog that holds the scabbard. The straps are too long, even after I adjust them to minimum length. To reach a comfortable length, I had to roll one of them up in a ball.
2 The blade was smelly, covered in a goo that I'm pretty sure is lubricant, and has a gross-looking pad in front of the handguard.
3 The label "Made in India" makes the Confederate Kit look much less authentic...
