Texas Bowie Knife

As a long time knife collector with specimens from Randal to Western.

This Texas Bowie is great. Very sharp and I would go to battle with it.😊

A close friend came by with one of these- VERY impressive. He has sharpened and enlarged the clip, and sharpened part of the spine about four inches or so.. He inlaid some Cripple Creek turquoise into the white camel-bone grip, otherwise not altering the grip.  A good knife to customise, but it really is the cat's meow just as it is! Impressive cutting power... My next bowie will probably be this one- that camel-bone grip is one of the things that "does it" for me. Good feel and a wicked slash... I like this knife very much, and Ive handled a few bowies in my day.

Today I received the Texas Bowie knife that I ordered. It definitely exceeded my expectations. This is a large but light weight knife. I purchased the optional sharpening and the edge is razor sharp! Glad I did that. The leather sheath works well with this knife and it complements my family of five other Bowie knives. It is interesting to me that the curved top edge was not sharpened but that does not take anything away from this knife. I highly recommend the Texas Bowie to add to any collection of bowie knives.

I saw this knife on the website and thought it looked really pretty also big. So I ordered it. Just got it a couple weeks ago, and I really like it. The blade is truly massive,  and the handle is very pretty and feels nice on the hand.  Even though a factory edge, it is actually very sure. So I’m really glad I got it. Specially for the price.

I initially thought this was going to be a flimsy thin bladed knife because of the weight advertised but when I got it I was surprised at how thick the spine was (just shy of 1/4") and the heft of this HUGE blade. I can't keep my hands off of it.I keep saying  (in my head while holding it)  to Crocodile Dundee,"That aint no knife...THIS s a knife". The thing is as long as my whole arm and feels like 3 lbs. instead of 1 lb. 10. ozs. It's more like a short sword...so cool !

I purchased this item and the Primitive Bowie. I am delighted with both knives. They are extremely well made and the scabbards are exceptional! Thick and close fitting. So satisfied that I've ordered the horn handled Bowie to complete the trilogy.
