Springfield Civil War Socket Bayonet

For something like 40 years I 'hemmed and 'hawed' about ever getting a bayonet for the repro 1864 Springfield 58cal. rifle musket I built from a Navy Arms kit decades ago. Finally said the heck with it and shopped around, choosing this one from Atlanta Cutlery. Service was prompt and fast, the bayonet is well made and a perfect accessory! Purchased a Socket Bayonet for my reproduction '61 Springfield.  Very nice quality and it arrived within three business days of my order.  I did have to file inside the socket to get it to fit but that was expected.  Now it is rock solid.  Very pleased!

This Springfield socket bayonet is a beautiful and very accurate reproduction of the actual Civil War weapon. It fits perfectly on my musket and really completes the look of my collection. Highly recommend this product.

This is very nicely made and solid. I got one for my original '61 Springfield so ended up 'distressing' the finish with vinegar and salt to take the shine off and give it a more aged look. Did have to do some minor fitting to get the movable retaining ring to lock.
