Sgian Dubh Knife Blade

I've used these blades before and like them a lot. The long threaded tang works well though I'd prefer a more more common (unthreaded) version, but this is only a comment and not a criticism. The blade needs to be sharpened, which is pretty normal as well and not a problem. I do like the small size, and I have had good results darkening the blades in the past, which is my preference. If you shop for sgian dubh blades you will find that many can get pretty pricey. I like the pricepoint of this fine little knife blade.

The tang (the threaded part that goes in the handle) is very soft on this knife. I went to saw off excess material and it bent like a cheap metal spoon. The tang bent at a 45 degree angle after trying to trim with a hacksaw. I managed to saw it off and work the blade into the chosen handle with some epoxy, but I’m disappointed.

After the initial delay in shipping, my order came quickly.
The products were as advertised and fulfilled my expectations.
I have not finished the project with my sgian dubh blade blanks yet so I can not speak regarding the performance of the blades.
The blades came with no edge  which suited me just fine, because it enables me to create my own bevel.
I will consider Atlanta Cutlery for future needs.

Smaller than I'm used to in a sgian dubh blade. Otherwise, it's nice! Good temper, nice and strong.
