Review of: Conan Atlantean Sword

This is a great piece. The attention to detail is fantastic. From pommel to tip, every part appears to have been designed just right. I could ask for a better, or more realistic replica. This was definitely worth the wait.

Review of: Conan Atlantean Sword

I put mine up on a display plaque in my living room and I look at it every day.

Excellent quality.  It arrived in flawless condition.

It's very sharp and a BIG OL' HURKIN CLEAVER of a blade:  As a functional sword it's frightening what it's capable of chopping through!

Very happy with my purchase.

Review of: Hobbit Sting Sword of Bilbo Baggins

I recently watched the Hobbit trilogy, and finally succumbed to my desire to own a Sting replica.

This sword is very satisfying. You'll read a number of reviews online where people are nit-picking various aspects of the construction, and to a certain extent they'll be correct. If you're a sword purist, if you have an opinion about different grinds or tang types, then perhaps you'll be unsatisfied. But if you're a Lord of the Rings fan, if you want a sword that makes you feel like Bilbo heading off into the wilderness, then go for it.

If you forced me to express a more detailed opinion about the sword, I will say that the handle is the least satisfying thing. It's some sort of plastic with a wood and vine pattern painted onto it. If I stop what I'm doing and really pay attention to the handle, then I'm not impressed with it. But when I'm holding it, I don't really care that it's not real wood.

Another drawback is that the blade is stainless steel, which means much easier maintenance (no rust!) but technically the blade is not well suited for actual cutting use because it's more brittle than true blade steel and could break. Here's an easy solution - don't hit anything hard with the sword.

All told, I am very happy with my replica Sting sword. It makes me feel like a kid again.

I didn't see any way to ask questions so excuse me for doing so here but does anyone know if these swords are through tang construction? Many thanks.

Review of: Hobbit Glamdring the Sword of Gandalf

This has always been my favorite sword from the LOTR/Hobbit films. Finally decided to add it to my collection. It seems a lot larger in person, though it is well made. United Cutlery does nice work. Saw various sites selling this particular sword as high as the mid $300's!! Atlanta Cutlery's price was $8 cheaper than any other site's lowest at $188

Review of: Hobbit Sting Scabbard

A very nice accessory for your "Sting" to keep it clean and sharp while you are questing. You'll be pleased at the feel of it when your weapon "snaps" snug and securely into place. If you don't get it, you'll regret it.

What a fine display weapon this is. I can hardly wait to take it on a quest. Mountains, Gandalf, I want to see mountains! Meanwhile, I've been watching for a blue glow. Nope! No orcs in my neighborhood. You will be pleased with the quality of this item. I got the scabbard, as well.

Review of: Conan Valeria’s Sword

Having been a fan of the original movie since it debuted in the eighties I was delighted when the three swords were offered at prices far more reasonable than those made by the movie sword maker Jody Samson.
When I took Valeria's sword out of the box, I was shocked by its weight and construction.  There is no doubt in my mind that the actress was using a FAR lighter weapon in the movie, whereas Robert E Howard would have heartily approved of this beast!!!  Well done, ACC and thank you!!!
