This Pinkerton Detective Agency Badge is a well-made replica from America’s past to complete your history collection. Allan Pinkerton opened his first detective agency office in the 1850s, working with Law Enforcement nationwide to help arrest criminals. By 1855 he was specializing in protecting railroad shipments for several mid-western railways. in 1870, he and his agents became legendary during their relentless pursuit of Jesse James, the Younger Gang, the Dalton Brothers, and Butch Cassidy’s Wild Bunch.
This replica metal badge is hand made and aged to be accurate to the originals with a heavy pin back for attaching to the thick clothing of the era. Each is properly dished and deeply engraved.

A Must For the Old West Badge Collector.
I did work for Pinkerton at one time. Of course, they are not like the old West Pinkertons, these days, but I thought that this would look neat with the Pinkerton pieces that I have collected. Made from pewter in India, this badge polished up very nicely with a hand polishing cloth. Looks nice with other badges.
