OVERVIEW

We found a batch of Bench Mark Rolox IIs that were made over 20 years ago, along with the original Zytel belt sheaths. The blade slides forward and locks, with thumb pressure, and you can automatically open the blade while you're taking this knife from its sheath! The blade lock is positive and releases smoothly with thumb pressure. Both sides of the handle are checkered at the blade end for an improved grip, and both sides of the handle and the front of the Zytel sheath are marked with the “Hunting Classics/Bench Mark Knives” logo. The Zytel sheath has a belt clip. (There were no boxes with these Rolox IIs.)

The Rolox II was invented by Blackie Collins and made at the Bench Mark factory in Gastonia, North Carolina after R.B. Jenkins bought the Bench Mark trademarks and designs back from Gerber. This Rolox II was made before Bench Mark closed its doors in 1997. We learned from an insider that these knives required a lot of hand work and were notoriously difficult to make – there were only three craftsmen in the factory who could make them properly! US patent No. US5511311.

Rolox 2 knife.
I love this knife. It takes a little to get used to taking it out and having it open as you do, but it works really well. The blade is super sharp and the sheath stays on.

Sweet knife
Very unique knife fit and finish is top notch. The hard plastic sheath makes it easy to use and carry. Blade is incredibly sharp right out of the box and the steel holds a great edge. I carry this knife eeverywhere. A little expensive but worth it to me.

Excellent knife
This knife is quite special I have never had a knife quite like this before overall it is excellently well done. I was very impressed with how well it locks up. The overall operation is quite simple and smooth and the blade came razor sharp. The overall  Weight is very light very comfortable to carry. It's a bit pricey but the cool factor makes it worth it.

Awesome knife!
Truly unique piece! Love the action and locking mechanism. Wish it was a little less rigid on the handle but it’ll do for a edc for sure. Very happy with Atlanta Cutlery
