OVERVIEW
The Man-at-Arms was a warrior, pure and simple. A stalwart and dependable fighter who exhibited great martial prowess with a range of weapons like this Grosse Messer hacking sword which literally means 'Big Knife' or 'Great Knife'. Although he was not a Knight, he fought and trained alongside them as a brother in arms. The sword was created to honor this rugged, reliable, salt-of-the-earth warrior.
These sword knives are fully sharpened and the blued blades have a distinctive gunmetal finish that compliments their handles and when well-oiled, they are gleamingly beautiful in their own right.
Includes leather scabbard with blued steel fittings. 1055 Carbon steel blade.

I Love This Sword
My Grosse Messer has the polished blade, but still the same sword. This sword is another special sword for me as I am of Saxon Heritage, and this sword was common place in northern Germany. The sword is heavy well balanced and extremely sharp, a very beautiful sword The broad blade is a blade not many would want to stand against. The long Rose Wood handle gives power when needed. Comes with a quality scabbard.
