Laguiole Knife Kit

Great knife. Even included wooden scales that I finished with Danish Oil and a little wax.

Tools you might find handy for assembling this  kit.
A belt sander. (The handle slabs are basically square and parts of the frame stick out beyond the handle slabs. A tiny phillips screwdriver. A good pair of dykes.  A  pair of pliers for pulling out the brass screws when they bend or the phillips head strips on them. It happened to me. Now I have to wait for the hobby stores to open back up. Avoid that by drilling the 3 rivet holes just a smidge bigger. But if you are crafty you can make a pretty folder with this kit. The blade looked really great.

Easy to assemble turned out nice

The kit was a little smaller than I thought. My Grandsons will still enjoy assembling them.

The kit comes in an attractive, magnetic latch gift box. The parts are easy to assemble with simple tools and the wood scales are easy to finish and mount. This is a perfect gift for fall and winter months for idle hands. I bought two kits. I plan to buy several more. You'll be glad you bought this one!

I have assembled several pocket knife kits and this is, by far, the best one I have done. The price is excellent.

SCALES. ONE SIDE WAS NOT MIRROR IMAGE. OTHER THAN THAT A GREAT KNIFE. COMPANY HANDLING THE MANUFACTURES ERROR VERY WELL.  

The Laguiole Knife Kit Is an excellent starting point for someone transitioning from a fixed blade kit to a simple folder. Just this afternoon my friend and I completed two of them in about 3 hours. Tools consisted of a light ball peen hammer a small anvil(8 lbs., side cutter small files,sandpaper and some mineral oil.  The direction booklet could be improved and ends without providing finishing instructions.  Overall it is a delight to work with such a kit and if you work slowly and carefully the result is a delight to the eye and a great tool in the field.  

This was a great kit gonna order 2 more not sure why folks complain about a weak spring. these are not lock blades the knife is suppose to not lock.material is good and strong i even did some pretty file work on the back spring i got folks trying to buy this from me for $50 bucks

These kits are useless. They look nice but the springs are weak and break at the main rivet. I purchased 2 kits and they both have the same flaw.
