Bowie for me
I bought this for myself and the only problem that I ran into was that my wife took it!  Wish that I had kept it hidden.....

Bowies
Of the 6 bowies I have ordered I have not ever been disappointed. appear to be of good workmanship.  I plan to probably to purchase others also.

Hunters Companion Bowie Knife
I saw this knife on the Atlanta cutlery website a couple of weeks ago and thought it was really beautiful. I also liked it because it was big, and I prefer big Bowie knives. When I got it I was not disappointed at all. The blade and clip point are beautiful, and it is really sharp. I also really like the wooden handle, and the sheath is nicely made and genuine leather. For the price, this is an excellent Bowie knife. I could not find any flaws  on it. Crocodile Dundee does not know what a real Bowie knife looks like! Ha ha Ha ha ha.

Massive is understatement
I didn’t bother to take notice of this knife’s dimensions.  It is basically a slightly undersized short sword.  I have an RTAK-II that this thing absolutely dwarfs.

I was thinking it was along the lines of maybe a 9” or 10” blade, nope, this beast is 13”, 18” I think over all.
So, it doesn’t come out of the sheath very quick, and you (my opinion) look a bit silly with a knife that is the length of your femur hanging on your belt.
But...it’s awesome.  Felled a few small trees, busted apart (by stabbing and prying) a 15” thick dead tree, made kindling by batonning (that a word?) it through logs....the thing just eats up work and the edge held great.  I sharpened it even more and spent a little while slicing up water bottles for fun.

Think smaller machete and that you wouldn’t feel under armed if you had it and was face to face with a polar bear (seriously, this thing is ma-ass-ive, like, dundee’s Knife is a toothpick to this thing)

It’s fun and pretty and sharp, but I don’t think I’ll use it very much.  I was hoping the thing was just smaller so I could have a pretty big knife that could also cut up a deer (like, take the meat off, not chop it in half with one swipe), but it’ll most likely end up as a thing on the shelf.

Five Stars
I truly like it, there are some light burn marks in discrete areas, but since it's supposed to look old I don't mind one bit :)

Five Stars
The knife showed up today, I am very impressed with the fit n' finish, the sheath appears to be high quality leather, the double-stitching is a nice touch. The knife fits in the sheath snugly. I have thoroughly chopped, sliced, and stabbed the box it arrived in to death. The edge still took hair off my arm, so I am happy. I gave the blade a slight flex, side to side, it didn't snap, and it sprang back to true straight.  It has a nice high pitched ring to it when you tap it on the face of the blade with your finger nail, that usually indicates a good heat treat. I probaby won't push this knife to its limits, just because I plan to use it for civil war re-enactments and it is a bit spendy to replace should I damage it 😅

Well worth the money compared to other Bowies, yes the knife is not as well finished as a $200-300 knife but its as strong as one. Good quality steel used. I love it

I ordered this knife sharpened from the website.  Overall the knife was built well and the sharpening was well done, but the finish work on the tang, handle, and back of the blade was sloppy.  The blade was polished and true, but with a few grind marks left on the back.  The edges of the tang were roughly ground and the end of the tank and the wooden handle were not cut or ground evenly.  The guard at the front of the handle was shaped well but unpolished and scuffed.  A weld point at the guard and front of the tang also could use some grinding.  Since the knife itself was true, the steel and handle of good material, the blade well-made, and the problems cosmetic (and fixable), I give this knife four stars.

OH MY GOD THIS KNIFE IS AMAZING. Its so strong yet light it actually outchopped and out batoned my laredo bowie. It just goes through even insanely hard wood like nothing. This has got to be one of the greatest purchases I have EVER MADE there is truly no downside to this knife that I can think of. Also the handles are rounded to they wont hurt like a coffin handle does.
