Black as a moonless night, silent as the grave… these are the qualities that make up Cold Steel's Nightshade™ series. Made from Grivory, the latest in fiberglass reinforced plastic and stronger than even the super tough Zytel used in earlier models, they are UV and heat stabilized, making them impervious to the elements.
One of the most unique features of this knife is the handle, made from deeply checkered Kraton that has been molded directly to the blade tang. It offers a superior, slightly tacky gripping surface that is unaffected by heat, cold, or moisture. It never rusts, warps, cracks or splits even in the most extreme environments.
The FGX Boot Blade II is light enough to be tied, tucked, or taped just about anywhere on one's person. And, since it is impervious to heat, cold, moisture and extreme weather it is a natural to hide both inside and outside your house; from the hedges and flowerpots in your yard, to the refrigerator, bookshelves, and closets in your house.

What’s it even for?
It’s made of a vamped up ABS plastic with nylon, which the company has chosen to call “grivory.” I cannot tell you what the “knife” is for because it has no edge, cannot be sharpened, and the tip of it will dull immediately after the first thrust into just about any hard surface. I would say it’s a letter opener, but again, no side edges. It’s also comically small, if you find out what it’s for, I’d love to know. You can bend the blade too, which is concerning. It’s probably just going to collect dust in the basement.
