Deer Antler Obsidian Blade Knife

This knife is handmade by master artist Dale Duby using the methods of old; grinding, abrading, percussion, and pressure flaking. Each knife is one of a kind. Blades are attached using sinew. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. Size approximately 7-1/2" overall. Includes hand-carved stand.

Each of these knives is handcrafted of naturally occurring materials, with as little alteration as possible to preserve its natural beauty. Please note:  Obsidian color may vary from the photo. We are not able to guarantee a specific obsidian color. Obsidian is formed from the erupted lava of a volcano. Although black is the most common color, it can be brown, tan, or green. When hematite (iron oxide) is present, it produces red and brown varieties. If tiny gas bubbles remained in the lava flow during crystallization, green varieties were created, as well as others with a golden sheen, or types with dark bands or mottling in gray, green, or even yellow.
