Damascus Cleaver

It's not often that a Damascus blade is part of a knife with a handle that's as audacious as its own swirling, alternating layers of steel! This cleaver has a grip that's every bit as entertaining to admire as the fabled, folded steel of legend. The scales are made from laminated layers of alternating red and black stabilized wood, contoured into ridges to reveal several layers of variegated color. A brass and mosaic pin completes the custom handle. Once you can stop staring at it, you can actually pick it up and appreciate its heft and utility. The blade and full profile tang are a solid 1/4" thick - no poser here. Weighs a solid 1 lb. 2 oz. for serious impact. The leather belt sheath is embellished with an embossed scallop design.
