Bowie Knives

James Bowie created a legend about himself and the knife he used in a hand-to-hand fight in Mississippi in 1827. What that knife looked like was soon lost, but the legend continued to grow. Bowie knives were in high demand, worn at the sides of members of Congress as well as ne'er-do-wells. The authentic Bowies by Windlass Steelcrafts are from America's past and hand-forged from well-tempered steel to take and hold a razor edge. Most come with a leather sheath. Find great Bowies from Cold Steel and other great knife makers too!

Brass and Wood Bushcraft Knife

#404644
If you like bushcraft knives with a little extra in the looks department, we think you'll like this one. The flat part of the carbon steel blade has a rough forged finish that vividly contrasts with the visible grind lines on the cutting bevels. The deep reddish-brown hardwood scales are complemented with spiraled brass wire that actually adds a couple of indentions in the handle to aid grip.
$19.95

Pathfinder Bowie

#404639
This hand-forged primitive knife is reminiscent of many a handmade knife that pioneers used to forge a living in the wilderness. The wide clip point utilizes a modified scimitar profile to concentrate weight at the tip for efficient chopping. The wide angle of the tip makes it strong enough to poke through tough leather without breaking. Carbon steel blade with genuine bone scales. Made the old-fashioned way, for old-fashioned work. Leather sheath with belt loop that fits up to a 2-1/2" wide belt. At this price, the whole wagon train won't have to turn around if you accidentally leave it at the last campsite.
$17.95

Review of: Brass and Wood Bushcraft Knife

Any review that states its great "compared to the price" feels diminished.

That said this is a great purchase and I was surprised by the weight, feel and overall quality. No regrets and bought a few more for friends.

Review of: Hibben Extreme Survival Bowie Knife

The knife is great, but Atlanta Cutlery has some awesome customer service. Don't be apprehensive to buy from this company. You will receive your items fast and well packed... and if you have an issue, it will be handled with care. Thank you ACC ;)

This knife is simply a beast! It is not a wall hanger. Even though it derives from the Rambo concept, it is not just a display knife. It is a real usable knife.
The blade is almost a quarter inch thick at about 5.9mm.
Its every bit as menacing looking in person as it looks in the stock pics.
Good fit and finish.
SHARP out of box.
I bought my first one about 3 years ago and beat the heck out of it at camp once a month sense then and its still in perfect working condition. No breaks, no bends, and still sharp ;)
This one I bought for my collection and possibly a back up. Its well worth this price.

Just some advice from experience --->
Trust me when I say to buy it here on ACC. I have bought it on Amazon and ebay an I always got Factory 2nd's or ever 3rd's with lots of imperfections.

Review of: ACC Bowie Hammer Forged Finish

The good: the blade is solid, sharp, straight and as pictured. The bad: the grip is NOT as pictured. Different shape with squared edges and different butt cap. Returned.

Review of: ACC Bowie Polished Blade Knife

I bought this in hammer forge finish. Wood in handle fit is worse than most Chinese knives gaps and cracked.
