OVERVIEW
The Arisaka Type 30 Bayonet was used by Imperial Japan from 1897 through 1945 on all Type 38 and Type 99 rifles and carbines. Our high quality reproduction is a pre-1937 style with a quillion. The blade is made from 1095 high carbon steel. All metal, including the scabbard, is nicely blued and the wood scales have a satin polished look. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts and comes factory sharp.

Solid Fighting Bayonet
Very well built for the price, would have no issue using this to fight with. I was surprised at how solid the metal and wood were. The fitment of the handguards is excellent, the scabbard is solid and the bluing is nicely done. Sharp enough to cut with as a knife let alone use as a bayonet with a 200lbs soldier behind it.

Great start
The blade is obviously hand forged. very sturdy. no rattles. scabbard is very nice, but a bit loose holding the knife securely. wood scales are a rough and the machine screws and nuts stand proud of the wood. not an exact replica, but passable. blade is tough and was easily sharpened to a razor edge and polished using files and stones. held the tip in a small vise and pulled the hilt approx 2 inches each direction and the blade always springs back straight. i would purchase this or another from the same manufacturer again. oh, and it shipped fast and arrived well labeled and wrapped protecting the knife and anyone handling the package. well lubricated and sealed.

Nice looking bayonet and scabbard made in India. No faux makers marks on this piece. Deep blue blade, nice wooden grips. Fits the leather frog perfectly. Slightly loose fit in the scabbard. Not inexpensive, but nicely made.
