Samurai & Asian Swords

You cannot talk about Japanese history without mentioning the elite Samurai Warrior and the real samurai swords. Experts at fighting both on horseback and the ground, the Samurai lived by a strict code of ethics. Instilled with "freedom from fear", they trained rigidly and were considered an aristocratic warrior class.

Just like the warriors, their Japanese Samurai swords also has a rich history associated with them. There is nothing like holding a Japanese sword for the very first time.

A true katana sword was the primary weapon carried by the Samurai of Feudal Japan. These single edge curved katana blades are worn with the blade pointing up, allowing these types of Japanese swords for a smooth drawing of the sword and attacking in a single motion.

Atlanta Cutlery carries a range of quality katana for sale, samurai weapons for sale, and wakizashi sword for sale.

Review of: Warrior Sword

These things are hard to find and when you do find one for sale, especially one that's been hand forged, you're looking at hundreds of dollars. I know because I've been looking for a good quality naginata for a while.

So, here comes this website with an extremely economical price for a hand forged naginata. I'm thinking that if its' under $100, it's probably going to be gas-station-knife quality.

I was wrong.

The weapon has very good weight and overall feels extremely solid. I'm surprised at the quality — and I can't stress that enough — of this piece. Based on this, I'm probably going to order a few more blades from this company as my "throwing around" money allows.

Only 5 stars? Can I add more?

the pics don't relay the size of this thing! It is a big, powerful chopper. The quality is great though. I just didn't pay enough attention to the dimensions in the specs. I am NOT disappointed. I was simply looking for a smaller chopper to carry hunting.

Modernized take on a classic.  Well balanced with perfect heft.  Would have preferred a razor edge but comes sharpened and easily remedied.  An unbelievable price for such quality.  A must have for both the avid collector and casual aficionado.

Review of: Honshu Boshin Wakizashi

This is identical but shorter than the longer katana and both are great swords.  I'm an edge perfectionist and normally put a better edge on anything I buy but both of these I felt no need to improve the edge and that is really rare for me.  For the metal used, the edge, and the feel... this is worth more than twice the price... LOVE IT!!!!

Review of: Honshu Boshin Katana

I'm an edge perfectionist and normally can put a better edge on anything.  I buy a lot of edged weapons/machetes and this sword I feel no need to make the edge better which really surprises me.  This feels great in the hand and I've paid more than double this price for swords that needed work and don't equal this model.  LOVE IT!!!!
